Our New Baby Boy!
It seems like we have many friends and family who either had a baby recently or are expecting, so we have felt a little left out. We decided we needed to add to our growing family... so we adopted a big, beautiful baby... well, a "tween" perhaps would better describe our new addition. We named him Okie, which is a family name. He's from a family up north, but we've been told that he'll grow just great in our yard here in Florida. His stats are: 1400 lbs, 27 feet tall, diameter about 9". We think he's beautiful, and hope to spend many years with him in the shade, climbing and bird watching. (He is the tree, not the tractor!)

Wow! You and Bob have something in common. I only thought he could get that excited over a piece of equipment. I've had to fake excitement over backhoes, dump trailers, dump trucks, Hydrolic Lifts, and numerous other large pieces of metal that make a lot of noise. HaHa. I hope he gives you years of enjoyment.
So when I first read this I thought you were refferring to the tractor(or whatever that thing is) & then I noticed that you were talking about the tree! I think, but could be wrong, that the comment from the "Despain Family" suggests they thought the same thing! LOL Now that I get it...congrats on the new baby boy! Which btw, how could you tell?? :) We are expecting our baby boy any day now & I am just curious if we might borrow this peice of equiptment to somehow bring our baby home sooner too!? (I'm thinking not)Thanks for the laugh!

wow colleen! when you said you were landscaping you really meant it. when i said i was landscaping i meant i had planted about 5-6 different plants in the same difficult place in the shade and every one of them died. but spring is almost here and i can try again.
